Following the successful completion of the new three-story parking deck, Lafayette College seized the opportunity to enhance it’s campus by creating a new entrance way to the Markle Hall Welcome Center. This was achieved through the addition of a bridge connecting the third floor of the deck directly to the first floor of Markle Hall. This now provides convenient access to the recently renovated college Welcome Center and admissions departments.

     The first floor of Markle Hall, a 1930s-era building featuring heavy masonry, underwent extensive renovation to accommodate a new three-story steel and curtain wall addition.The redesigned space features a new reception atrium with custom fabricated millwork, a fireplace, decorative entranceway lighting, multimedia displays, a welcome desk, new offices, a 50-person lecture room, new kitchenettes, ADA-compliant bathrooms, and electronic wayfinding signage.

     These upgrades have transformed Markle Hall into a modern and welcoming space that integrates seamlessly with Lafayette College’s efforts to enhance the campus experience for visitors and prospective students.
